Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Ewaade uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device when you visit. Cookies allow the website to recognise your device on return visits and to keep you signed in, remember preferences, or measure usage. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags.
2. Categories of cookies we use
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential to operate the Platform. They cannot be disabled. They include:
- Session cookies that keep you signed in to your account.
- CSRF tokens (e.g.
csrftoken) that protect against cross-site request forgery. - Cookies set during checkout by our payment processors (Stripe, Paystack) to prevent fraud and process the payment.
2.2 Functional cookies
These remember choices you have made (such as language or display preferences) so the Platform behaves consistently across visits. We use these only where strictly necessary or with your consent where required.
2.3 Analytics cookies
Where used, analytics cookies collect aggregated information about how Users interact with the Platform (which pages are visited, how long, error rates, etc.). We use this data to improve the Platform. Analytics cookies are set only with your consent where required by law.
2.4 Marketing cookies
We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. If we add them, we will update this Policy and seek your consent where required.
3. Third-party cookies
Some pages load resources from third parties (such as Stripe or Paystack checkout, or content delivery networks). These third parties may set cookies necessary for their service to function. We do not control these cookies. See the relevant third party's own cookie or privacy notice for details.
4. Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block all cookies, accept only specific ones, or delete cookies on exit. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent core features (sign in, payment) from working.
